Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. oil or butter
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ c. carrot
  • 1 28oz tomatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ tsp basil
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • ¼ tsp. sugar
  • salt & pepper
  • ¼ c. fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Cook first 4 ingredients in frying pan.

    1. Add remaining except parsley and s&p.

    2. Cook for 20-30 minutes.

    3. Add parsley and salt & pepper to taste.

NOTE: good on fish fillets, topped with grated cheese
