Ingredients

• 1 ½ c. raisins
• ¾ c. br. sugar (packed)
• ¾ c. water
• ½ c. shortening
• ¼ c. molasses
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• ½ tsp. nutmeg
• ¼ tsp. cloves
• 1 ¾ c. flour
• 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

1. In 8 cup bowl, combine all ingredients except flour & soda. Microwave Hi 5-7 minutes until boiling. Let cool to lukewarm.

   2. Mix flour and soda; stir into liquid mixture.

   3. Lightly grease 8” pan; pour in batter. Shield corners with foil.

   4. Microwave Hi 4 minutes, rotating dish each minute. Remove shields.

   5. Microwave Hi 2-3 minutes til tester comes out clean, rotating dish ¼ turn each minute. Let cool before icing.
