Ingredients

  • ¾ c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ c. molasses
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. ginger

Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.

    1. Beat in egg, add molasses and dry ingredients.

    2. Roll into balls. Flatten with fork.

Bake 375° for 12-15 minutes. Or 350° for 10 minutes
