Coffee Toffee Bars

Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 c. butter, softened (use ½ butter, ½ shortening)
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp instant coffee
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. chocolate chips

1 ½ c. icing sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2-3 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Cream butter and sugar.
Add rest of ingredients, except chocolate chips. Dough will be crumbly.
Stir in choc chips.
Press into greased 11x7”.
Bake @ 350° for 15-20 minutes (or until light golden brown).
Spread glaze over warm bars.
