Bran Muffins

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. shortening
  • ½ c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • ¼ c. molasses
  • 2 eggs unbeaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 ½ c. bran
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ c. raisins

Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.

    1. Add molasses and eggs and beat well.

    2. Add milk, then bran (to first mixture).

    3. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients.

    4. Add raisins.

Bake @ 400° for 18-20 minutes.
